Calgary Water Restrictions Lifted

Indoor Water-Saving Measures Lifted

Calgary Continues Recovery from Water Main Break

Effective July 2, indoor water-saving measures have been lifted

Calgary has taken another significant step in its recovery from the Bearspaw South Feeder Main break. Effective July 2, indoor water-saving measures have been lifted.

While this is a positive development, the City remains under Stage 4 water restrictions, meaning all outdoor water use is prohibited.

The catastrophic break in the feeder main on June 5, which supplies most of Calgary's water, prompted the implementation of strict water-saving measures. The local state of emergency has now ended, but the City emphasizes the ongoing need to conserve water.

As testing on the repaired feeder main continues, officials remain optimistic that outdoor water restrictions will soon be lifted. Citizens are encouraged to stay informed through official updates from the City.
