Frustration At Westlandia After Defeat: 'The Only Positive Is That The Player's Pot Is Being Filled'
Westlandia Suffers Disappointing Loss
Westlandia suffered a disappointing 2-1 defeat at home to DHSC on Saturday, extending their winless run to four games.
Missed Opportunities Prove Costly
The home team started brightly and created several good chances in the opening stages, but they failed to take advantage.
DHSC grew into the game and took the lead just before half-time. Westlandia equalised early in the second half, but DHSC regained the lead shortly afterwards.
Westlandia pushed for an equaliser but were unable to find a way through a resolute DHSC defence.
Player's Pot Filling Up
Despite the defeat, there was one positive for Westlandia. The team's 'player's pot', which is used to fund social activities, was boosted by €200 thanks to the result.
"The only positive is that the player's pot is being filled," said Westlandia coach Edwin Grunholz.
Frustration Growing
However, Grunholz was frustrated with his team's performance.
"We didn't play well enough," he said. "We created chances but didn't take them."
"We need to start winning games soon or we'll find ourselves in trouble."
Westlandia are now 12th in the table, just three points above the relegation zone.
