The Netherlands national football team, officially known as the Dutch Nederlands voetbalelftal or simply Het Nederlands elftal, has represented the Netherlands in international football since its founding in 1889.
From its humble beginnings, the Dutch football scene witnessed the rise of numerous prominent clubs, including Sparta Rotterdam (1888), Ajax Amsterdam (1900), and Feyenoord Rotterdam (1908).
