The Dallas Mavericks are headed to the 2024 NBA Finals after defeating the Minnesota Timberwolves in Game 3 of the Western Conference Finals 105-102. The victory gives the Mavericks a 4-1 series advantage and secures their spot in the championship round.
The game was a back-and-forth affair with both teams trading leads throughout the night. However, the Mavericks seized control late in the fourth quarter, holding the Timberwolves to just four points in the final five minutes. Superstar Luka Doncic led the way for Dallas with 36 points, while Kristaps Porzingis added 22 points and 12 rebounds.
The Timberwolves were led by Karl-Anthony Towns, who finished with 24 points and 12 rebounds. D'Angelo Russell also contributed 18 points for Minnesota, but it wasn't enough to overcome the Mavericks' late surge.
The Mavericks will now face the winner of the Eastern Conference Finals between the Boston Celtics and Miami Heat. Game 1 of the NBA Finals is scheduled for May 30.
